![]() #2 Monster Energy Residence: Anaheim Hills, California Born: December 5th, 1983 (29 years old) Casey was born into a motor sports family. With a family that has been in business for over 50 years building high performance rear end’s for most off road and NASCAR style racing. Growing up in Anaheim Hills, California he has been drawn to anything with a motor. By the age of 5 he was racing motorcycles and by the age of 16 he jumped behind the wheel of his first race truck. The 27-year-old Currie’s off-road resume is lined with wins on motorcycles, trucks and buggies in the desert—this one is no stranger to dirt sports. In 2003 Casey won the MDR series in his JeepSpeed and won many races along the way. In 2004 Casey switched to a Pro Truck and Class 1 taking 2nd in Pro Truck in the Baja 1000 and 3rd l In the Class 1 Car in the Baja 500. In 2005, Currie moved to SuperMoto and quickly proved himself, winning many races and ranking himself 5th Overall in the AMA Lites Class and 1st In team points in his rookie year. In 2006 Casey worked a deal with Factory Nissan to drive a pro lite for Art Schmitt. Casey was in development of a new tire and made much progress as a new driver, finishing on the podium in his Rookie Season. In 2007 Currie made a move to become the youngest team owner in Short Course. Being 22 and owning his own team put a huge responsibility on his shoulders. And the risk was worth the reward. Finishing 2nd Overall in Points and being constantly on the podium with 7 Podiums and 11 top 4 finishes. In 2008, Currie created his own Pro Lite and is now building prepping and manufacturing everything in house at Currie Racing. With all the bugs worked out of the new truck Currie finished the season off with 1 win and 4 Podium finishes. Currie also finished 2nd in the King of the Hammers the biggest rock crawl of e year. In 2009 Casey went on to race TORC series finishing the season with multiple podiums and 2 wins. In 2009 Casey also finished runner up in the King of the Hammers. In 2010 Currie took huge risks by going to the new v8 pro light. Testing many times Currie quickly dialed in his new pro lite that was also a Master Piece of Metal in Dirt Sports. He finished off the year with a Championship, 4 wins and finishing on the podium every event but 2. Casey also road the Rip to the Tip a 1500 mile dirt bike ride from Tecate to Cabo. In 2011 it’s all about Short Course for Casey Currie, as he battles the nation’s best up-and-coming short course off-road racers in his No. 2 Nissan Pro Light truck.
