With the Eiffel Tower and the Tour de France as backdrops, the best European offroad R/C drivers gathered in Versailles, France to contest the European Offroad Championship. The Montigny Le Bretonneux track began as a typical European grass track, but after countless laps the once pristine grass surface develop into a hard packed clay mixture.

Going in to the event, reigning champion Neil Cragg and his Reedy-powered B4 were the odds-on favorite. Having already wrapped up the British Championship, Neil and his pit man/father Mick were fully dedicated to defending their title and did just that. Taking the TQ in three of the five rounds, Neil sat on the pole for the main events and successfully defended his title by winning A1 and A3 ahead of Richard Cree and Hubert Honigal.

Look for Neil and the rest of Team Associated at the upcoming World Championships in Collegno, Italy August 6-14. Congratulations to all the A-main finalists and to Neil on his fourth consecutive 2WD European Championship!
