 July 13, 2011 Event Name: ROAR Region 4 Championships Event Location: Coral Springs R/C Club, Coral Springs, FL Event Date(s): July 9, 2011 to July 10, 2011 The 2011 ROAR Region 4 Championships was hosted by the Coral Springs R/C club in Coral Springs, FL July 8-10. A full-field of racers converged upon one of Florida’s premier off-road tracks for a weekend of intense racing action. Reedy/Team Associated factory driver JR Mitch was the man to beat in both the 2wd Modified Buggy and 2wd Modified SCT classes. Powered by Reedy Sonic motors and 60C 5500mAh LiPo batteries, JR lit up the track with his aggressive driving style to capture the pole position in both classes. The textbook strategy for the mains would be: 1. Jump out to an early lead Not only was JR able to follow this strategy perfectly, he was able to do it twice! Thanks to powerful and reliable motors and batteries, great handling vehicles, and great driving, JR added two more titles to his impressive resume and continues his dominance in the region.
