Kody Numedahl Rumbles with his B44

Hosted by MHOR R/C Raceway, the 14th Annual Rumble in the Rockies took place February 6-8. There were 23 heats of very close racing on a tight 35 x 70-foot track.

Qualifying was exceptionally competitive, making the smallest mistake costly. In the end, qualifying was evenly spread, putting Kody Numedahl 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd in truck, 4WD, and buggy, respectively. Scott Brown placed his Factory Team T4, B4, and B44 into the third, fourth, and fourth qualifying positions.

4WD Modified
With qualifying so close all weekend, the mains were anything but ordinary. The first A-Main saw several leaders. However, taking advantage of a few mistakes up front, Kody Numedahl took his Factory Team B44 to the lead and didn't look back, taking the quick A-1 win. A2 proved to be even more dramatic. An early mistake by Kody let Dustin Evans take the lead. With a minute to go Kody was right behind the leader when a drivetrain problem took Dustin out of the race and let Kody by for the race and overall win.

Thanks to MHOR R/C Raceway for putting on a great event.

Special thanks to Kody Numedahl for this report.
