Maifield and Hartson Own the 2013 Surf City Classic!

The Pro-Line Surf City Classic has quickly become a staple of the Southern California indoor racing scene. A laid-back atmosphere, consistent high-grip track conditions, and a high level of competition make the event highly enjoyable for both serious racers and the casual enthusiast. The track configuration rewarded a smooth driving style while a high-grip surface meant that excellent motor and battery power were in high demand.

The 1/8 eBuggy class has always been popular at OC/RC Raceway and when Steven Hartson hit the track, it was clear that he was there for business. Almost lapping the entire field in the 10-minute main event, Steven's Reedy-powered RC8.2e was clearly the class of the field.

Ryan Maifield is fast in any class he races but is particularly potent in 4WD Modified Buggy. Ryan and his Reedy-powered B44.2 grabbed the early lead in the 10-minute main event and never faltered. Maifield took the win ahead of hard-charging teammate Steven Hartson.

Special thanks goes out to the OC/RC crew and staff for hosting another edition of this prestigious event.
